When the Nigeria kit of 2018 dropped, I thought “it is going to take some topping, this.” And I was right.

I knew then, and my rightness was confirmed when Nike dropped the 2020 Nigeria home kit which was set to be used in the Olympics.

It plays on the heritage of the country in those beautiful patterns. The mixtures of striking greens with the white centrepiece and black trims are special.

Another positive is that Nike has not messed on with the collar and went classic: round neck. And just look at those socks. Oof.

It’s a groundbreaking kit but it just hasn’t had the same hype as it’s predecessor, which is a great shame.
