A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Charles Udeogaranya has called on Nigerians vote out President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16, 2019 election.
Udeogaranya, who recently defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, urged Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, and vote against Buhari, stressing that he was unfit to remain as president.
In a statement he issued yesterday, the politician alleged that Buhari was using hunger as weapon to subdue Nigerians.
The statement reads: “In about four years of Buhari regime, hunger has traversed the entire nation that no one is exempted apart from Buhari and some of his family members. It is my considered opinion that Buhari is using hunger alongside other tactics as weapons to subdue Nigerians into buying his unholy agenda best known to him and this must not be allowed to continue.
“We must vote him out of office with the PVCs which is our power to choose the rightful leaders.
“Whether you are from the Middle Belt or North Central, the unjustified killings of our dear brothers and sisters by terrorist herdsmen and the refusal of President Buhari to show acceptable commitment towards upholding the constitutional provision that security of lives and properties of Nigerians are the primary purpose of government failed woefully and must not be repeated or allowed to be amplified into Islamisation of Nigeria by voting Buhari out with our PVCs.
“Buhari’s appointment of security chiefs from his sect and his sleeplessness over a Christian and South Eastern (formerly Biafran) Chief Justice of Nigeria is a profound attestation of his plans to come if re-elected and therefore, Christians and the entire Southerners must save themselves from a looming genocidal war by voting out Buhari with their PVCs.
“Nigerians in the Northeast and Southeast are yet to produce a democratically elected president apart from Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa though he was not head of State.”
