The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has lamented the deadly gas explosion that claimed many lives and property at Abule Ado, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, of the state, on Sunday.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Adelaja Adeoye in a statement issued on Monday called for an immediate investigation into the cause of the deadly pipeline explosion.
The party commiserated with victims, all Lagosians, and the families of those affected by the tragedy, stating further that the incident was a national tragedy as a result of several deaths and the destruction of properties including a school.
“The residents of Lagos, woke up to a loud explosion, which was heard in most parts of the State, on Sunday morning, while some people were saying that it was pipeline explosion, others have expressed a contrary opinion.
“It is important that a thorough investigation is carried out, as National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), said that the disaster was not due to pipeline explosion in their earlier report, even though NNPC gave a contrary report to what happened.
