Africa-Press – Nigeria. A woman who operates as an informant to bandits within Lafiagi and Patigi LGAs of Kwara State has been arrested by security forces,.
The woman is the second bandits’ informant caught in the area within one one week.
She was arrested after one of the informants mentioned her name during interrogation.
The woman is from a village called Bokungi near Tsaragi town in Edu local government area of Kwara State.
Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the state of the State Police Command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi in Ilorin on Wednesday were unsuccessful.
But it was gathered that the suspect is in the custody of the police.
Only last Wednesday, a male suspect, identified as Garba Karfi, was arrested in Lafiagi while trying to deliver some items including ammunition to bandits in their hideout in the areas.
Garba Karfi, said to be an ex-convict, hails from Alapata in Share community of Ifelodun LGA.
