Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi, who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was in the afternoon of Friday, November 29, declared the rightful winner of the 2019 governorship election in the state.

This is as the appeal court in Jos, Plateau, threw out the petition by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the governor.

The ruling by the appeal court resulted in celebration in most parts of the state, according to the Nigerian Tribune.

The APC had come to the appeal court with four arguments against the victory of Governor Mohammed and his party.

The appellate court, however, dismissed the entire arguments of the opposition party in the state and its candidate, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
