Africa-Press – Nigeria. Armed bandits have attacked three communities in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, making away with an unknown number of cattle.

The attack happened on August 29, according to sources who spoke to Zagazola Makama on Saturday.

Reports said the assailants, who came in large numbers, invaded Ungwan-Buteri, Ungwan-Bagoma, and Ungwan-Landibo villages.

They carted away livestock from the homes of Alhaji Dankawo, Alhaji Chukuba, and Alhaji Juli, all of Ungwan-Buteri in Tegina District.

Sources added that security operatives and other agencies have since launched a manhunt for the attackers, with the aim of recovering the stolen cattle and restoring peace in the area.
