Bauchi State Government has confirmed its first coronavirus related death .
The State Deputy Governor, Sen. Baba Tela, who doubles as the Chairman of the Taskforce Response Committee on Lassa Fever and Coronavirus made the disclosure while addressing newsmen over the weekend at the Government House, Bauchi , the state capital.
” One person died of Covid-19 infection at the Federal Medical Center Azare and that was yesterday in the night , the person was on admission” He said.
Nation reports that the number of Coronavirus cases in the state had risen to 161 as at March 9 2020.
The total active cases are 154 while six remains discharge so far with one death recorded.
