Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a medical doctor, Idara Bassey in connection with the unfortunate death of a 36-year-old woman identified as Abiola during a butt enlargement surgery.
The police had declared the doctor wanted after the incident at a clinic in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State.
The spokesman of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed her arrest on Wednesday.
Abiola had on August 26, visited the clinic for the butt enlargement procedure but it tragically ended in her death.
Her driver subsequently reported the incident at the Maroko Police Division but the doctor fled.
Bassey is currently being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti.
