– Wike credited the vigilance of security agents for their intervention in stopping the female passenger

As the country continues to battle the escalating rise of COVID-19 in the country, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers revealed that the people of the state would have been infected with the deadly virus as a woman tried to board a flight, Port Harcourt.

Wike while addressing the people of Rivers state on Wednesday, March 25, in a broadcast in Port Harcourt, the state capital, said a woman infected with coronavirus was prevented from boarding a flight from Abuja.

The governor went on to note that the passenger had beat security measure that was put in place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja but was fortunately stopped by security agents, The Guardian reports.
