Nigerian aviation authority on Tuesday directed all airlines operating regional and international flights to exercise a high level of vigilance to prevent the incursion of Ebola virus into the country. Sam Adurogboye, spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), confirmed the directive in a statement reaching Xinhua in Lagos, the country’s economic hub. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Ebola outbreak a public health emergency of international concern, following the resurgence of the Ebola disease in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
