Africa-Press – Nigeria. Unknown gunmen have attacked the home of a traditional leader in Galumji, Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State, injuring him and making away with money and valuables.

The attackers stormed the residence of Guru Tafida, the Village Head of Jarkum, at about 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to a post shared on Thursday by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X, the armed men assaulted the leader with the butt of a gun, leaving him with a deep cut on his head.

He was rushed to the General Hospital in Dukku, where he received treatment and was later discharged.

The gunmen reportedly stole ₦30,000 in cash, three mobile phones, and threatened the victim and his brother, Alhaji Musa, demanding ₦20 million. They also left behind a live round of ammunition as a warning.

Security sources confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track down the attackers and bring them to justice.
