Gunmen kill RCCG pastor’s son, abduct wife in Nasarawa

Africa-Press – Nigeria. Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed the son of a minister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, and abducted his wife in Mararaba, a Nasarawa State community neighboring Abuja.

It was gathered that the minister, Austin Ifeji, was in the early hours of Monday last week attacked by armed bandits in his home at Mararaba, near Abuja.

Ifeji, after being inflicted with machete cuts by the hoodlums, was said to have narrowly escaped, prompting the bandits to abduct his wife.

The kidnappers also shot his son, who attempted to defend his mother, and inflicted more machete cuts on him in the presence of his other siblings.

According to Daily Trust, a neighbor, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said after killing the son, they then took the wife away and made a demand of N30 million ransom.

At the time of filing this report, information about her release was still sketchy.

Meanwhile, the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Rahman Nansel, said the command was not aware of the incident.
