Africa-Press – Nigeria. A tanker carrying 45,000 litres of kerosene has lost control in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred on Friday at the Taki Roundabout area.
Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande confirmed the incident.
“On getting to the scene of the incident, we met a trailer tanker registration number KMC 127 ZQ Kano with the 45,000 capacity liters of kerosene, lost control and fell on an open road.
“We promptly swung into action by carpeting the areas with chemical foam compound and saves properties worth millions of naira.
“No casualty was recorded and were able to prevent it from catching fire,” he said.
