Africa-Press – Nigeria. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has requested urgent security deployment to the Ekiti Local Government Area, especially the Eruku axis, to curb the recent wave of attacks in the area.

This was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Wednesday in Ilorin.

The governor called for additional security operatives to support the existing security architecture in the area and requested that the new measures be activated immediately.

“We condemn the unconscionable attack. We sympathise with the people of Eruku and environs, especially the families and the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), directly impacted by the attack on Tuesday,” the statement said.

The governor added that the state government would continue to support security agencies to tackle challenges and ensure the safety of lives and properties across the state.

Terrorists on Tuesday stormed a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku town, under Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing three worshippers and abducting several others, including the pastor.
