Highly-rated Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka has signed a five-year contract extension with Danish club FC Midtjylland, informs the official website of the Superliga side.
A product of FC Ebedei, the 21-year-old has impressed with his strong work ethic as well as tremendous physical strength, and is humble off the pitch.
Speaking on the new multi-year deal, Onyeka said : ”I continue to work hard, and my goal is to become a regular part of the starting line-up in the club. It has been a sensible spring for me, so it is a good starting point for the coming years’ work”.
Sports Manager Svend Graversen added : ”We are talking about a player who, over several seasons, has developed very positively in our environment.
”In the longer term, we see him as part of our central midfield, and we know he is a humble person who will work hard to achieve his goals”.
Onyeka joined FC Midtjylland in 2015 and is credited with 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals.
