Midfielder Victor Okoro has hailed the fighting spirit in the Nasarawa United team after Elkanemi Warriors were dispatched 5-1.
The Solid Miners had lost their previous outing in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) to Heartland, and Okoro told Footballlive.ng that it was important Nasarawa United got back on track.
“We needed to come back after the defeat to Heartland,” the midfielder said to Footballlive.ng.
“As a team we have great aspirations and we’re looking forward to our next match.
“Nasarawa United never give up when there is still a chance to qualify for the play offs. We are a great team and we’ll fight for everything.
“This is Nasarawa United, we are together and we fight for everything until the very end. The fans demand that of us.”
The Solid Miners are fourth on the NPFL Group B log with 25 points from 16 games.
