Africa-Press – Nigeria. A young man simply identified as Jago has been shot dead as rival cult groups clashed on Saturday night in Otefe-Oghara community, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
It is not clear if the deceased was a member of any of the cult groups at the time of this report.
The latest battle is between Eiye and Vikings confraternities
At the time of this report there was serious tension in Otefe-Oghara as indigenes and residents, especially students of the Delta State Polytechnic, are afraid of coming out of their houses and compounds for fear of being attacked and killed.
When contacted for comments, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, said the police have no information on the incident.
