AnambAfrica Press-Nigeria:ra state Police Command said it has arrested a 6-man syndicate for allegedly diverting a 40-feet container loaded with aluminium valued over #10 million in Onitsha.
The spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the arrest on Saturday, said both the goods and the two trucks have been recovered.
He said investigation had commenced.
He said, “Following intelligence report, Police operatives attached to Central Police Station Onitsha arrested the following syndicate Suleiman Abdulkareem ‘m’ aged 40years of lamukpa in Ibaban,Oyo State, Abdullahi Umar ‘m’ aged 48 years of Jjabiri town in Funtua LGA of Katsina State, Aliyu Idris ‘m’ aged 52 years of matsai town in Kaita LGA of Katsina State.
“Others include Godswill Ebirim ‘m’ aged 55years Okwe in Onuimo LGA of Imo State, Dickson Ada ‘m’ aged 55years of Usenu in Ago LGA of Edo State and Friday Kihodaro ‘m’ aged 42 years of Uhedode in Esi LGA of Edo State.
