Africa-Press – Nigeria. Police in Bauchi State have arrested three suspects after a 55-year-old man, Adamu Mohammed, was abducted and accused of sorcery by members of a neighbouring community.
The incident was shared in a post on X on Thursday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to Makama, Mohammed was taken from his home in Zahi Village, Ningi Local Government Area, on September 19 by men from Dangarfa Village.
He was undressed, beaten, and threatened with death before being forced to cross a sick woman, Hajiya Zuwaira Bature, three times.
The attackers claimed he was responsible for her illness.
The abductors later took him to a local chemist for treatment.
One of the suspects, Abdulwahabu Abdulrahman, reportedly took the victim to his house but later claimed Mohammed escaped to an unknown destination.
Police confirmed that three suspects are now in custody, while efforts are ongoing to locate the victim and arrest others connected to the case.
