Scottish-Based Star Pulls Out Of Ukraine Vs Nigeria Friendly

Scottish-based midfielder Marian Shved has been ruled out of Ukraine’s international friendly with three-time African champions Nigeria on September 10 and this is official.

The Celtic star has not be included in Ukraine’s 24-man traveling party to Vilnius, where they take on Lithuania in a European Championship qualifier on Saturday.

“Unfortunately, Marian Shved has returned to his club after suffering an adductor injury and will not travel to Lithuania,” the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) stated today.

The 22-year-old has yet to add to his solitary international cap since making his debut in a friendly against Turkey in November 2018.

Nigeria also lost personnel ahead of their first game post-AFCON, with Tyronne Ebuehi still on the mend and Wilfred Ndidi excused from the game because he was recovering from a hamstring complaint.

Monaco winger Henry Onyekuru and Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo are processing their work permits and have withdrawn from the roster.
