Joint top scorer of the Nigeria Professional Football League Sunusi Ibrahim will not play any part in Nigeria’s build up to the FIFA Under 17 World Cup or the tournament Proper.
Sunusi was a subject of controversy when the provisional Golden Eaglets list was released, with many believing he should be above the age range. Head Coach of the team Manu Garba has however taken a bold step by axing the teenager from his set up. Meanwhile, Sunusi has rejoined the training camp of Nigeria’s Under 23 National team in Abuja under the watchful eyes of coach Imama Amapakabo.
