Africa-Press – Nigeria. Several persons are feared dead and many others injured after suspected armed herdsmen launched a fresh attack on the Makurdi–Naka road.
Sources informed our reporter that the attackers struck on Friday evening along the troubled axis, leaving commuters stranded.
The Makurdi–Naka road has remained under the control of armed Fulani militia groups for weeks, despite repeated assurances of military intervention.
This latest attack comes just days after Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, relocated to Benue in response to escalating violence across the state.
