Africa-Press – Nigeria. A road accident along the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway on Friday claimed the lives of three passengers, and others sustained various injuries.
The accident, according to a source, occurred a few kilometres from Benisheik town in the Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State on Friday morning.
The source explained that a Borno Express vehicle with registration number BAM 249 XA that left Maiduguri enroute Kano was involved in the accident.
According to the source, “Two women and one man lost their lives; others got injured. The injured were rushed to a hospital close by in Benisheik.”
Utten Iki Boyi, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Commander, could not be reached as he did not pick up his calls to confirm the accident.
