Weekly Press Briefing on Coronavirus Disease Outbreak in Africa
INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA

OVERVIEW: This briefing is a weekly engagement of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) with the media to share critical updates on the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Africa and the status of implementing the adapted Africa Joint Continental Strategy for COVID-19 Outbreak, including Africa CDC’s response activities and the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines in AU Member States.

Thursday’s briefing will provide details about the Director and team’s visit to the Kingdom of Morocco and highlight different levels of engagement held with key national stakeholders in the country. Additionally, the Director will be discussing the newly developed COVID-19 Tiered Public Health and Social Measure Framework for Africa and dashboard developed in collaboration with Resolve to Save Lives.
