1. The All Progressives Congress (APC) Vice-Chairman, South-South, Prince Hilliard Eta has taken over as the ruling party’s Acting National Chairman.

Eta took over as the Acting National Chairman, and appointed Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma as the Edo Primary Election Chairman.

2. The Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Victor Giadom, is insisting he is the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Giadom, who arrived at the APC’s national secretariat Abuja Wednesday morning, called for the screening exercise that resulted in the disqualification of the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, to be cancelled and asked the aspirants to reappear for fresh screening.

3. Nigerian Police have detained Nastura Ashir Sharif, over the massive Katsina protest against President Muhammadu Buhari.

CNG, in a statement said Sharif was arrested and taken to Abuja after the protests.

4. Nigeria on Wednesday recorded five hundred and eighty-seven, 587, new COVID-19 cases.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Wednesday night said the country now has 17,735 cases and 469 deaths.

5. Popular radio presenter, Daniel ‘Dan’ Foster is dead.

The American passed away after battling with complications linked with COVID-19 on Wednesday.

6. The embattled National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has said that he accepts the Appeal Court ruling that upheld his suspension.
