Lagos Police Command Intercepts Biggest Consignment Of Cocaine Worth N250m

The Lagos Police Command has made a largest recovery of illicit drugs from yet to be mentioned suspected barons in the state.

 

 

This is coming shortly after President Buhari during a visit to Kano ordered a clamp down on drugs dealers.

On the 8th of December 2017, a baggage was uncovered during a covert operation.

After a forensic analysis, the substance gave positive result for Benzoylecgonine (cocaine). The HPLC analysis confirmed the substance to be Benzoylecgonine or cocaine with a street value of Two Fifty Million Naira (N250,000,000).

The Lagos State Police boss, Imohimi Edgal says the Command would collaborate with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and other sister security organisations to track those who bring these illicit drugs to the country.

Also during the parade of suspected criminals the police boss also disclosed that 12 suspected cultists, 20 suspected armed robbers, and 4 suspected Badoo members were arrested.

Also recovered were 40 arms and ammunitions which includes; One Barretta pistol AK 47 rifle, One (1) Toy Gun, Locally Made Single Barrel Pistol, 21 Locally Made Double Barrel Pistol – 9 Locally Made Single barrel Long Gun – 7.

 

Ammunitions Recovered – 71, Two (2) Magazines, 45 Rounds of AK 47 Ammunitions, One (1) Expended Cartridge, Life Expended Cartridge – 17, Barreta Pistol Ammunitions – 5, LARS Rifle Ammunition – 1

Other Exhibits recovered are 2 Cell Phones, 1 Military Camouflage Vest, 2Short ropes 1 Jack Knife and 3 Cutlasses.
