38
guests at the event

On Saturday, December 2, 2017, Hennessy hosted the seventh edition of the Hennessy Artistry Concert, one of the biggest music festivals in Lagos, Nigeria. The concert featured some of Nigeria’s best musical exports including Tiwa Savage, Patoranking, Falz, Timaya and Ycee. While we all got our groove on, we also gagged on the ‘eleganza extravaganza’ that some of the guests served us, having our eyes pop in awe. These style sirens didn’t just come to play, they also came to ‘slay.’ Well, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Here are some of the guests that made our night eventful with their style and fashion:

This Poncho-appeal had us all seeing ‘red and black,’ literally, and the wearer wore it well. Donned over the all-black, semi-turtleneck tunic with wrist slits, this ensemble was our best looks for the night. He kept the accessorising minimal, with just the man-clutch bag and gladiator sandals. Indeed, less is more!

These looks were well put together. The Little Black Dress, LBD for short, never goes out of fashion and is one item every fashion-forward lady MUST own. She upped the ante by choosing a sequined little black wrap dress. Her ombre lips, brown bag and strap sandals complemented her looks. Also, we fell in love with the pink jumpsuit well accessorised with the royal blue bag and could not resist taking a picture.

On a cool evening when you have to hang with friends at a party, a fashion faux pas will be excluded from the list of crimes you are accused of, with this smart-casual ensemble. We loved the tapered chinos trousers and loafers. Colour coordination was on point.

Mini skirt? Lace pantyhose? Camisole? Oversized plaid shirt? The femme fatale looks had our hearts racing, leaving little to our imagination. Bringing a mix of the 90s and 2000s fashion accessorised with the sneakers, she sure deserved a second stare and we bet she had heads turning in her direction all night long.

Not a lot of guys are confident enough to pull off preppy looks. He served us all things ripped, from his plaid shirt to the denim and arms. The boots caught out eyes too and he sure enjoyed every bit of the moment. Kudos!

What’s the opposite of a little black dress? Well, it’s a little white dress. With the jagged edges at the neckline, sleeves and hemline, this white off-shoulder midi lace gown is everything. Call her the “White Swan’ and you would not be wrong.

It’s floral and we all love it. Black trousers are the best ways to tone down an overly busy shirt with too many colours. The trouser break, the loafers, the gold rimmed eyeglass and the flat top hairstyle all made this casual look stand out.

No! She is not a man. She just broke your typical gender stereotype with her 90s hip-hop cum tomboy looks. She also played it safe by opting for a monochrome feel. Her bomber jacket, baseball cap, sneakers and backpack had us thinking “high school musical” but also larger than life.”
