The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of desperately trying to sow seeds of discord in the party.
The APC had asked disgruntled members of the PDP from the south-west to join its fold.
Members of the PDP from the south-west became aggrieved after they failed to secure the national chairmanship position of the party.
Reacting to the invitation of the ruling party to its members, the PDP through Kola Ologbondiyan, national publicity secretary, said the APC had failed in its bid to cause disharmony in the party.
“APC has again failed in another bid to plant seeds of discord within the ranks of our members in the south-west, particularly on issues relating to the outcome of our hugely successful national convention,” it said.
“The people of the south-west have, however, seen through the antics of the APC propaganda machine and would not allow themselves be deceived.”
