Africa-Press – Nigeria. The All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader in Jigawa State, Hajiya Dayyiba Shua’aibu, has urged women across the state to take advantage of the remaining days of the party’s ongoing e-registration exercise ahead of the 2027 general election.

She made the call while addressing party members at the inauguration of the state executive committee and local government area coordinators of the Danmodi Mata Zalla Support Group, held on Thursday in Dutse.

She said the exercise offers women a vital opportunity to formally register as APC members and strengthen their participation in the political process.

Hajiya Dayyiba described women as a key pillar of the party’s success and urged them not to be sidelined in decisions that shape leadership and governance.

She explained that, based on current statistics, there is a need for greater women’s participation in the exercise before the closing date.

According to her, “For those that didn’t register, the closing date has been extended for the party e-registration. Use this opportunity and come out in mass before the closing date.

“The registration would enhance your representation within the party and further consolidate the APC’s grassroots support in Jigawa State.”

Speaking at the event, the state coordinator of the forum, Maryam Muhammad Abubakar, said the support group is aimed at creating more awareness of the exemplary leadership of the present administration at both state and national levels.

According to her, “This administration has done a lot for women; it is therefore high time to reciprocate the good gesture.”

She also promised to mobilise over 500,000 women voters for APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
