Africa-Press – Nigeria. Opposition political parties in Nigeria have agreed that they would present a single presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The resolution was adopted on Saturday at the national summit of the opposition political party leaders held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.
Opposition leaders stormed Ibandan, the Oyo State capital, on Saturday for the Summit.
Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, Rabiu Kwankwaso and other top leaders were present at the event.
Officials of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP faction backed by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde were also in the meeting.
