Africa-Press – Nigeria. As the All Progressives Congress, APC, conducts its primary election for the 2026 governorship election in Osun State, About 1,660 delegates would partake in the exercise.
At the time of filing this report, accreditation of the delegates was still ongoing.
The delegates are five each from the 332 wards in the state making a total of 1660 delegates.
Chairman of Osun governorship primary election and Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo and his team arrived the state on Friday and held a stakeholders engagement at the party secretariat.
Former Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, Bola Oyebamiji is a top contender for the ticket and expected to emerge as the consensus candidate.
As at the time of this report, security was observed to be heavy at the venue of the primary election.
