Africa-Press – Nigeria. The member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Oluwoke Oke, has described as a tactical and political blunder the decision of the Olasoji Adagunodo faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to abstain from the last ward congress in Osun State.
In a public statement made available on Monday, Oke berated Adagunodo for his decision and reminded him that as an experienced politician he claims to be, he should have known that there is only one congress.
The legislator explained that the congress had been held under the leadership of Sunday Bisi.
While hinting that Adagunodo misjudged by abstaining from the congress, he explained that the embattled chairman’s problem with the party is his removal in court and not the congress.
Oke revealed that all he is doing is further moving the party towards disunity.
He noted that Adagunodo as a party member is entitled to pursue his case to the highest level.
“I advise him to sheathe the sword and let us put an end to this problems and let us move on as a family. We all need each other. This is my warning for those who think otherwise,” he said.
“It is not too late for those outside the project to come on board.”
He revealed that in his constituency, the party members were all for Ademola Adeleke as the flagbearer of the party in the 2022 gubernatorial election in the state
