Many rendered homeless as flood submerges houses in Akwanga [PHOTOS]

Africa-Press – Nigeria. Residents of Hayin Mada and other areas of Akwanga town were displaced on Friday evening following a severe flood that ravaged the community.

The flood, which was triggered by a heavy downpour, submerged numerous low-lying houses and various properties in the area.

The floodwaters also inundated the bridge along Wamba Road, leaving motorists stranded and disrupting local transportation.

Many residents expressed frustration, attributing the incident to the poor construction of the bridge in the area.

While no lives were lost in the incident, the flood has caused significant property damage, estimated to be worth thousands of naira.
