Africa-Press – Nigeria. Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tunibu was the most Powerful stake holder of the Nigeria’s ruling Party APC after President Muhammadu Buhari.

According reports from different print and Broadcast Media in Nigeria, Buhari was not in support of Tunibu Presidential Candidacay. despite the gentleman agreement between the two closed Political allies.

It could be recalled that President Buhari Contested for the Presidential Position four times before winning the election in 2015.

Buhari Contested under the defunct ANNP two times in 2003 ,2007 and CPC in 2011.

All these efforts by the Man that Nigerians Particularly Northerners considered as the must trustworthy Politician was abortive but with his Political alliance with former Governor of Lagos State Ahmad Bola Tunibu provided the platform that make the dream of Buhari to be come reality through the Formation of a Strong Political Party APC which is a Coalition of different Political Parties that include CPC ,ANPP,and ACN.

2023 Presidential Contest was different game to APC Members as all expectation by Politicians and Political Scientists is that the ruling Party is going to have a western Candidate Particularly Tunibu .

But the case was different as divergent interest emerges to the extent that President Buhari and 36 State Governors differ in the process of selecting the Presidential Candidate.

Buhari urged the Governors to allow him choose his successor as they did in their respective States.
The Governors insisted on Southern Candidates.

During one the Tunibu’s Visits in Ogun State ,he was reported saying that ,he was the Man behind the Success of Buhari during 2015 Presidential election after several attempts by the former army General

During the APC Primaries on 16,17,and 18th of May 2022 which took place in the Countries Capital Abuja fourteen aspirants contested the election that include the sitting Vice President Professor Yemi Osibanjo ,Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Former of Minister of Transportation Rotimi Ameachi, Senator Rocha’s Okorocha , God’s Will Akpabiyo former Minister of Niger Deltav affairs and Some State Governors.

The National leader of the APC Tunibu defeated 13 aspirants to emerged as a flag bearer of the ruling Party.

Ibrahim Garba Maryam who is an activist that observe the APC Primaries described it as the corrupt exercise as he alleged that huge amount of foreign Currencies were distributed to delegates.

IG Maryam said with emergency of Tunibu as APC Presidential Candidate despite his health Condition Nigerians are bound to fall victims of another weak leader which will put the Country in another dilemma of eight years economically, Social , Politicaly ,and above all Security.

Professor Kamilu Musa Fagge of Department of Political Science Bayero University Kano said the Primary elections of Nigeria’s two major Political Parties APC and PDP which took place recently is a Source of Concern and Corruption allegation has surrounded the whole events.

Professor Fagge Urged Nigerians Particularly Youth to elect a better Candidate that will change the Countries Situations and build it’s future.

He added that there is need for the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC) to be more active during Political Primaries.

Kamilu Fagge also charged Politicians to be sincere while making Campaign Promises as the Country need Projects and Programmes that will provide employment for the teaming youths that form the major percentage of the Nigeria’s Population.

The two Analysts Ibrahim Garba Maryam and Professor Kamilu Fagge share the view that the Primary election of APC was beehive of Corruption practice as delegates received huge amount of Money.

They also described the delegates as enemies of Democracy and Nigeria as they chose Money more than the future of Nigerians.
