Africa-Press – Nigeria. President Muhammadu Buhari has again weilded the big stick, terminating the appointment of Hajiya Saratu Umar as the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) with immediate effect.
His action comes barely few days the President unceremoniously fired the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Agency for Science Engineering Infrastructure NASENI, Mohammed Haruna.
Umar’s appointment was terminated in a terse statement circulated by Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina.
According to the presidency, in a directive to the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Richard Adeniyi Adebayo CON, the President also mandated the most senior Director in the Commission to immediately take over in the interim.
