Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has urged the Muslim faithful to consider Eid-el-Maulud as a period of reflection, fostering unity and spiritual renewal.
The Minister stated this via her Facebook page as the faithful mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“Let me also use this opportunity to call on the Muslim Ummah as we celebrate this significant day, to intensify prayers for our dear nation; prayers for peace, progress and development”, She stated.
The Minister also added that the period should serve to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and friendship among Nigerians, enhancing the solidarity for the continued growth of the nation in this season of renewed hope.
