Africa-Press – Nigeria. Prince Tonye Princewill, a movie producer, politician, and philanthropist, has said that Nigeria’s main problem is not just about who becomes president but the entire political system.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, Princewill said that Nigerians often blame their leaders, but the real issue lies deeper.

“We Nigerians, we love to complain. When it was Obasanjo, we wanted him out. When it was Goodluck, we wanted him out. When it was Yar’Adua, we wanted him out. When it was Buhari, we wanted him out. Now it’s Tinubu, we want him out as usual,” he said.

He explained that changing presidents won’t solve Nigeria’s problems unless the system itself is fixed.

“It’s not just about the president. It’s also about the governors, the National Assembly, the judiciary. It’s a whole systemic challenge,” he said.

Princewill stressed the need for leaders with real ideas and long-term plans.

He said many of today’s politicians are not ready to address the real issues affecting the country.

“I am not interested in deceiving the people that work with me, and I’m not deceived by the people I see working in the political space. Until I see people who are ready to address this key issue, I will continue to sit on the sidelines,” he added.

He also warned that unless Nigeria changes its political mindset, the country will continue to go in circles.

“Until we fix the system, every new leader will disappoint,” he said.
