Africa-Press – Nigeria. Jigawa State Government has announced plans to recruit 4,000 new J-Teach Batch C applicants before the end of December as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen basic education across the state.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by Comrade Auwal Abba Hadejia, media aide to the Chairman of the Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Professor Haruna Musa.

According to the statement, the recruitment process is aimed at expanding the teaching workforce to meet growing demands in primary and junior secondary schools statewide.

In addition to the new recruitment, the board also revealed that more than 1,000 members of J-Teach Batch A will be offered permanent and pensionable appointments.

The confirmation process will follow an examination scheduled to hold between the end of November and early December.

SUBEB noted that the initiative is in line with Governor Umar Namadi’s commitment to improving the quality of education by investing in teachers’ welfare, stability, and professional development.

The board reassured applicants that the recruitment and confirmation exercises will be conducted transparently and in accordance with established guidelines.
