Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Kano State House of Assembly has suspended Rano Local Government Chairman, Naziru Ya’u.
He has been suspended from office for three months, starting on August 13, 2025.
Shedding more light on the matter, the Majority Leader, who also serves as Chairman of the Assembly’s Complaint Committee, Lawan Husaini Dala, said the decision was informed by pleas from residents of the Rank LGA to the Assembly.
He said they accused the chairman of impunity and lack of transparency in his work.
Dala also said the residents accused the chairman of refusing to deliver the dividends of democracy.
