He said he was happy with what he described as a powerful live performance coming courtesy of a partnership with Amaryllis Hotel.

The 18-track album produced by himself at his studio in Lilongwe has songs such as ‘Day Time’ and ‘Titani Nawo Anawa.’

“My Father’s Land is a colourful musical journey with distinctive iconic African voices. Within it you find a blend of life, music and identity infused with great depth of emotion and artistry. From Malawi the warm heart, welcome to Africa,” he said.

After Lawi’s musical meal, Magasa Saturday comes in with M’bona: The Rainmakers’ story.

The one-act production comes down to Apollo having been premiered in Lilongwe last year.

“This play brings to life a gripping story of drought, destiny and renewal – where dance, live music and storytelling collide to call for environmental responsibility and harmony with nature. I just want to call upon theatre lovers to come and witness a story that moves the body, spirit and earth,” Magasa, who also stars for drama series on television such Mdyangu, said.

With a bold message on climate and cultural heritage, the production will also be spiced up by a live music performance by Agorosso.
