Africa-Press – Nigeria. A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the Sulawesi region of Indonesia on Saturday.
Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency made this known in a post on its X platform.
However, it stressed that there was no potential for a tsunami.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre, EMSC, estimated the earthquake at magnitude 5.9, at a depth of 109 km (68 miles).
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties at the time of filing this report.
