Africa-Press – Nigeria. The troops of Operation Fasan Yamma, OPFY, have neutralized a notorious bandit kingpin popularly known as Malam and four of his gang members, in a fierce offensive along the Kandamba-Faskari area of Katsina State..
DAILY POST gathered that the offensive operation took more than a week which forced the bandits to hastily bury their dead in shallow graves and flee from the area with various degrees of gunshot injuries.
The troops, however, discovered the graves and confirmed the identities of the five slain terrorists, including Malam, saying that one of the most wanted terrorists have been operating for years in Sabuwa, Dandume, Funtua, and Faskari Local Government Areas of the State.
It was also learnt that his neutralization boosted the efforts of the military forces for the ongoing counter-banditry operations across the State.
