NSCDC confirms killing of female bar operator in Osun

Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command, has confirmed the death of a bar operator in Ikirun.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Adeleke confirmed the development on Saturday.

Iya Bisola, a popular bar operator in Ikirun, was found dead at her residence at Oke-Glo area of the town apparently strangled to death by yet to be identified persons on Friday.

Her corpse was discovered by a customer.

Adeleke explained that investigation has commenced to unravel the matter.

“A popular beer parlour vendor, called Iya Bisola, at Station Road, Ikirun, was allegedly strangled to death by unknown person(s).

“Though the reasons for her assassination are yet to be unraveled, our personnel visited the scene of the incident at Oke-Glo, Ikirun before the corpse was evacuated,” he said.

Her death has led to apprehension among the residents of Oke-Glo area of Ikirun as residents gathered in front of her residence in a bid to confirm the authenticity of her death.
