Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Adijat Adeleye, has challenged entrepreneurs and business women in the state to refine their craft thereby competing favourably with their counterpart from across the globe.

Adeleye gave the challenge while speaking at the Deemakay Business Exhibition Season 7 held at MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital.

She commended the courage of entrepreneurs who continue to build and expand their businesses despite prevailing economic challenges, stressing that their determination remains a strong pillar of community and statewide economic growth.

The Commissioner acknowledged the support of the Dapo Abiodun led administration, expressing appreciation for the SME-friendly policies and business-supportive environment that have enabled initiatives like Deemakay Exhibition to flourish.

According to her, “the present administration’s commitment to empowering small enterprises plays a critical role in sustaining platforms that promote local commerce and innovation.”

While interacting with exhibitors, the Commissioner encouraged business owners to remain consistent in offering quality goods and services and admonished them to adopt customer-friendly approaches, including fair pricing, courteous service delivery, and improved customer engagement.

She argued that strong customer relations are essential to building trust, increasing repeat patronage and growing small-scale enterprises sustainably, expressing optimism that the exhibition would open new doors of opportunity and further strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit that keeps the business community thriving.

On her part, the convener and CEO of Deemakay Business World, Adedamola Makanjuola said the exhibition was conceived out of the curiosity to bring value to MSMEs, vendors in Ogun state as well as build small scale enterprises in order to compete favourably with their counterparts in Lagos, Abuja and across Nigeria.

She said the exhibition recorded tremendous success as no fewer than 100 vendors were actively engaged.
