Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Osun State Police Command has warned that henceforth any person who covers their vehicle number plates will be arrested and prosecuted.
The warning was issued on behalf of the Command by the Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola during a parade of suspected criminals in Osogbo on Friday.
Opalola said the only persons exempted are the state Governor, Deputy Governor and Speaker of the House of Assembly.
She said, “We are using this medium to warn vehicle owners to desist from covering their number plates. Any person found floating this would be arrested and prosecuted by the Police.
“If you don’t have anything you are hiding, why are you covering your number plate?
“It is only the Governor, Deputy Governor and Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly who are exempted from this order.
“Any person apart from that would be arrested and they will face the full wrath of the law.”
