Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Taraba State Bureau for Peace and Conflict Management, TSBPCM, has condemned the recent violent attacks in Karim Lamido local government council of the state, describing the incidents as “horrendous” and deeply tragic.
In a statement signed by Bishop Innocent R. Solomon, Chairman of the Bureau, the organization expressed shock over the loss of innocent lives.
The Bureau also extended heartfelt condolences to the affected communities, particularly the Bandawa community and the Bikwin Chiefdom, as well as to the state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas and the entire people of the state.
“We mourn with the families and communities that have suffered and stand in solidarity with them during this painful period,” the statement read.
The Bureau commended the continued efforts of security agencies working to restore order and reiterated its confidence in their commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
It also pledged full support for the measures being implemented by Governor Kefas to promote peace, unity, and security across the state.
Calling for calm and resilience, the Bureau urged residents of Karim Lamido and surrounding areas to remain united and prayerful, as efforts to restore lasting peace continue.
The attacks which occurred in the early hours of Saturday left dozens dead, many injured, and others missing.
