Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Adamawa State Police Command has received operational vehicles from the state government, with an assurance of timely response to distress calls.
Commissioner of Police Dankombo Moris took delivery of the vehicles on Friday, describing the government’s gesture as part of its continuing support for dependable security across the state.
Moris said the vehicles would bolster ongoing efforts to reposition the command’s crime-fighting strategy for optimal performance.
The vehicles are Innoson IVM G6C/GRANITE Series double-cabin Hilux pickups fitted with security gadgets.
They were presented to the command by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, according to a statement from police spokesperson Suleiman Nguroje.
Security remains a declared top priority of the Fintiri administration, which has shown results through reduced farmer-herder conflicts and, more recently, a notable decline in the activities of the notoriously criminal ‘Shila Boys’.
