Africa-Press – Nigeria. Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the review of official working hours in the public service for the Holy month of Ramadan.
This is contained in a statement issued by Deputy Director Information, Office of the Head of Service, Alhassan Sule Mamudo. The statement stated that from Mondays to Thursdays, the official working hours start from 8:00am – 3:00pm, while on Fridays it’s8:00am-12:00pm.
“This adjustment covers the month of Ramadan (Fasting) only and normal working hours commence immediately after the month of Ramadan”, Mamudo said.
The yearly adjustment of official working hours in Yobe State during the Holy month of Ramadan has become a tradition.
The government has in many fora said it will enable public servants to participate in religious activities within the month.
