Africa-Press – Nigeria. Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Sarah Martins, has received a N20 million donation from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, to support her Golden Heart Foundation’s ongoing campaign to feed underprivileged children across Lagos.

The donation, announced on October yesterday, comes barely a day after Martins made headlines for being apprehended by officials of the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC/KAI, for cooking on a public median in Lekki Phase 1.

According to the Lagos authorities, her charitable cooking activity violated state environmental regulations that prohibit food preparation on roadsides and other unauthorized public spaces due to health and safety concerns.

Martins, who claimed she sustained minor injuries during the incident, later took to social media to narrate her ordeal, a post that sparked widespread public reactions about the challenges faced by grassroots humanitarian efforts within urban settings.

Martins announced less than 24 hours later that Seyi Tinubu had extended a N20 million donation to her foundation to enhance its operations and ensure full compliance with state laws.

The funds, delivered through an intermediary, will be used to establish a fully equipped and environmentally compliant cooking facility dedicated to feeding homeless and vulnerable children in Lagos.

Tinubu, who co-founded the Noella Foundation, also pledged to support the project further by providing industrial-grade kitchen equipment and exploring a collaborative partnership to expand the reach of Martins’ feeding initiative.
