Africa-Press – Nigeria. Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has condemned the killing of Saif al-Islam, the son of former Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi.
In a statement posted on his verified X handle on Wednesday, Sani described the act as tragic and unfortunate.
Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was reportedly assassinated in the western Libyan city of Zintan, where he was based for the past decade.
Reacting, the former lawmaker said, “When I read sometimes ago that Gaddafi’s son was returning to Libya, I wondered how safe was that decision.
“The assassination of Saif al-Islam is tragic and unfortunate. Even the testimony of victims of human trafficking trapped in Libya tells everything about the tragedy and violence in that country. Adieu Saif.”
